Way past time to say Hi.. Ok so I previously posted an intro in the wrong area re Black boxster thread. Long time Porsche owner. My first car was a 69 911T. This is my first water cooled Porsche. Bought while looking for next 911. Big mistake. Top down and a twisty road and no other car makes you smile like this does. Pure joy to drive. So a picture and a list of the current upkeep. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1429487143.jpg Spark plugs Drive Belt Air Filter Cabin Filter PPI Front Fender liners Clean Radiators Oil Change M1 0W-40 Sway Bar Drop Links F Hood Struts Conv Top Drive cables Wheels Tires SS Brake Lines Brake Fluid Flush Alignment Short Shifter GAHH Top 3 Spoke Steering wheel Steering wheel Air Bag LN Spin on Adapter Filter Mag Drop sump/Castrol Edge 10W-40 Pass Window Regulator |

JayG ; I am in God's country for Boxsters, the Central Coast. Sunshine, trees and 360 degrees of windy mountain roads. |

Nice. My Boxster originally came with those wheels, but somewhere along the line before I bought the car someone swiped them and stuck the Cup wheels on it. Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires! Oh ya! http://forums.evga.com/upfiles/smiley/thumbup1.gif |

Hmmmm.. I like the wheels so well that I would put the 16" back on car to sell and keep these for that Midnight Blue car.....Just in case it didn't have them. |

black car eh... are you well acquainted with the orbital buffer and the Menzerna line of fine products? I once had a black car too... forced me to become an amateur detailing expert. |
|
No, tell me more.....Haven't used power tools and wax on her yet! :o I've been using Meguairs Ultimate each time I wash the car. I've been thinking of using some of the "black car" polishes but have no experience. The front bumper cover does have chips from previous owner. I tend to stay off the freeway. There are just too many much more enjoyable routes around here! Holy crap!!! I went to Menzerna's site. I can see how that would make you an expert. My Head nearly exploded! |

The photo you posted of your car looked like the Sun was reflecting swirls, in the video below you'll see Larry uses the Brinkman light to inspect for the same. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/OgSLEVi_SPg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> also helpful <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Znl4cfEfah0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Here is his YouTube Channel for his professional detailing shop https://www.youtube.com/user/AMMONYCdotcom |
