Road rage in a 2012 911

Driver of Porsche charged in Leesburg road rage incident - WTOP

Seriously? The guy was 69. What's wrong with people?

People are angry, frustrated, hurt, and broken mentally and emotionally. And a few of those people express these emotions while driving.

And it usually takes two to tangle.

So true. That is why I have dash cams in all four cars and three of the kids cars. At least that way there is some solid evidence and not a "he say, she said" scenario.

People enjoy making others road rage. I have had an older woman block me in the left lane as she drove at 60 km/h in a 100 zone, then when the right lane opened up I went to pass and she floored it :troll:

Freight trucks are no exception .... Love when they try to pass each other.

That a long with every Yahoo in a truck or mustang trying to race you. It starts to piss you off, but that's when you decide to drive through town or pull off for a snack and let the idiots go by.

I have an attitude and can get bothered by these types. I really do try to let them pass or pull off at the next exit. I need to avoid these incidents.

"What's wrong with people? "
Given the age of the perp , I would say a dose of "roid rage" +o.d. on testosterone patches.

Leesburg, where the incident happened is an upscale community of snobby ****************************s. The median income is like 125k a year. You'd think they'd know better.

No matter how angry I get at another driver, and trust me NoVA is FULL of bad drivers, I would never ruin my Porsche over it. Now the dude has a criminal record points on his license and his insurance is not going to pay to fix that car

UUhhh

He repeatedly drove his 2012 911 into a freight truck....that speaks volumes about his intellect and uncommon sense

Shows that you can be a spoiled brat at 69 or 19! Be cool, breathe!

jdraupp 04-19-2015 09:36 AM

He wanted an excuse to get a 991.

I used to be one of those types to react to road ragers (not being the one to instigate). Anymore I do what I can to just let it go and move on with my life. It's not worth getting into a collision or worse due to someone's impatience.

Also since I have a CWFL I have even more incentive to be zen about it.

This is only a few miles from my house.

Not everyone is Leesburg is a rich snob just like not everyone who drives a Porsche is a douschebag.

I attribute this to "You can't believe anything reported in the news for face value"

A 911 could not pass, out brake, or out maneuver a truck? ... right!

BS detector is going off!

Anger management issues and a driver's license don't mix. The only thing relevant about the Porsche is that he's going to have to pay for his own criminal defense. The judge will order counseling, full restitution of property to the truck driver/company and the driver himself will likely file a civil suit which will be settled out of court for at least six figures. That's an expensive drive for lunch. But on the bright side he didn't turn himself into a human kebab on a stick.

Feisty for a near septuagenarian. Usually a hot head mellows out by that age.
