Yes more info please. Looking for new steering wheel for my tip.
|
Looks really good, well done.
Personally I think, that the 3 spoke Porsche Sportlenkrad is one of the best looking steering wheels ever, a design beauty - thin and light, ... and mine getting thinner and more vintage looking now...it is too oldschool not to love and preserve it  |
It's a company called DCT Motor Sports in LA, they sell on Ebay. The model is called T96 and was $700 shipped. Pretty exspensive but the quality and feel is superb. I checked out there 100% feedback with Boxster owners stating it was the best upgrade they had bought for the car. And the main thing you hold when driving I thought it was worth the investment. I will enjoy it for years......

Very nice! It is amazing how much a steering wheel can improve the feel of the car.
|
I especially like the flat area on the "bottom" where your knees or lap will be. Looks good ! $700 is expensive but if it's worth it to you than why not, right ?

Hi, it's easy, the airbag and mount from the original 3 spoke wheel fit right on. No other parts are needed. It really is a massive difference when driving. It's thicker, smaller and just feels rights,:)
|
Very right and trick to boot!
Have never seen this before. |
Absolutely beautiful. Where did you find it? :D
|
Looks great. I have modified all of the steering wheels in my Porsches and even did the one in my Turdra truck. You hang on to these wheels for hours. It is like having a comfortable pair of shoes. And, the looks are an additional plus.
However.... you now have to get a leather air bag to bring it all together! |
Any issues with the smaller steering wheel blocking your view of the gauges? I had that issue in my 911 when I put in a smaller steering wheel. I ended up turning the tach and speedo to see the part that was important. Easy to do in a older 911 not so easy in a Boxster.
|
Turns out the company is about 15 minutes away from where I live. Going to swing by this week and check it out. I will probably mention that the price of the wheel is about 10% of the value of my car :-)
|
No issues at all with seeing the dials, it is an exspensive addition but having been driving it for about a week now with it on it feels like a different car. I loved driving it before but now is 1000% better.
I am not selling it so investing in it is investing in my enjoyment and my pride and joy!! :):):):) |
