Best way to make these parts shine??

Lots of grease on that stuff. I'd like to make it shine, but not harm any baby seals or nearby Spotted Owls.

Not sure how to get those clean, but in case you have an "accident"...

Dry ice sand blasting.

It's my daily driver and I live in a wet an windy seaside resort. Initial clean required degreaser and wire brushing on the exhaust and some of the aluminium parts. Autosol on the shield, braces and sump and back box to get an almost mirror finish. After that I covered it with GT85 spray which stopped most of the dirt sticking. Now I just wipe it down once a month and spray with GT85. Pretty easy to maintain once the initial gunk has been removed.

135k. Both boots had torn at some point. The grease is thick under there.

Yes. That's a treadle type White Rotary and I have maybe 4-5 others and some early electric type. Even two "feather-weights" that weigh a ton. My poor shop is 1/3 personal storage.

Hit it with brake cleaner. Screw the owls.

Break Clean with a few bristle pads. Good rubber gloves are a must. Eye protection of some type would be a good choice.

When I was a little kid, I remember dad digging a small hole, then dumping the used motor oil in it. I was always amazed how smart that was because it was just gone the next day!

However many it came with, hats off to that attention to detail. Looks great.

Some jack a$$ jacked mine from the edge of that brace and I have to shape it flat again. I use two jacks.

Try citrus cleaner and a brush to clean, then use rubbing compound on a wool pad with a rotary polisher.

OMG that's hilarious - almost had me for a minute there. The really funny part was the reactions and comments from the people that did take it seriously. Reminded me of a thread on this very forum from not so long ago.
