Faulty 1999 MPH Cluster

Hello all:

My first post. Kindly move if in the wrong site.

Ok bought my 2 Boxster this time not only for my love to Porsche but as a therapy as well. In the to do list one of the things I will need help is in the Cluster.

Mine is not working the MPH, plus led on watch. Will try to upload a picture.

Thanks in advance!

Respectfully,

So, the left side rotary speedometer isn't working?
It's most likely just a bad connection. On the back of the gauge cluster, there are three connectors that probably need to be unplugged and re-seated (fairly common issue).

Your right side clock/oil gauge may be fixed by the above method, but most likely just has a bulb out (also replaceable from the rear of the cluster).

This article will show you how to remove the gauge cluster - http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Boxster_Tech/90-ELEC-996_Cluster/90-ELEC-996_Cluster.htm

Thanks so much for your reply. I have to check my email since I didn't noticed your reply.

****SOLVED****
Hope this helps others. Changed ALL 4 ABS cables since it was ON and " VOILA" left gauge working. MPH working again. And ALL my lights off back to normal again. Still have to change the light that illuminates the clock though.

I'm Happy!

Blessings to All!!!
