Disable passenger airbag
 

IS there a simple way to disable the passenger airbag, for a child safety seat? 97 Boxster.

Sure, install the Porsche child safety seat bar and use either a PST II or PIWIS to reprogram the system.

You just have to get them to enable child seat occupancy in the computer.

One dealer wanted $200 I kept asking around and found one that would do it for free.

The bar is probably less hassle but you need a Porsche child seat or mod a 944 male seatbelt clip to fit

I ordered the bar from Suncoast for about $270. Had the dealer install and program for about $220. Also bought the clip from Porscheshop.co.uk. Was under $50 usd shipped. Arrived in about a week or less. All works very well and no Porsche child seat needed. 2003 boxster s.
