I guess Florida brings a premium for a convertible. I paid half his price for less miles for my 98.

That car is actually for sale right by where I live. No way he will get that price. I paid half that as well for my 99 with only 40k miles.

Porsche 968 Boxster (SHOWROOM!!!!!!!)

This 968 has never seen snow (pictured sitting in snowy driveway!) :p

2003 Porsche Boxster S
It says it's an "S" with no major damage, yet there's no opening for the third radiator and the calipers are silver. The trunk has the S on it but I can't tell if it says it on the center console too. Either way, something's fishy!

The "Boxster" on the trunk is centered. The "Boxster S" should be centered.
Makes me want to get $55 "S"s off eBay and plaster them all over my car: Porsche Boxster s Emblem "s" Chrome for Trunk Lid Genuine Brand New | eBay

The owner must be dyslexic because he calls it a 968 not once, not twice, but three times. At least the breaks are good.

Porsche Cayman GT4 Build Slot

I knew it was only a matter of time before we started seeing posts

like these. It's a shame that cars like this immediately get purchased by speculators and people trying to earn a quick buck.

That's not as S, as you pointed out no third rad and the gauges are black, the S has white gauges.

I've been casually looking for the right one over the winter months, and will move on to seriously looking soon. Aside from local CL ads, and here, where should I look?

Life in a captialistic society. No one has to buy his slot unless they think it's worth it.

I'm not going to complain because I have signed up for the 'opportunity' to purchase 1 of the 60 911 GTS Club Coupes, if I win Porsche's lottery and they draw my entry. I would buy the car, hold on to it for a few yrs, and sell it. Look at the prices of the recent Ford GTs. A Club Coupe should appreciate in very short order. Why pass up an opportunity to make some money?

EDIT: the Club Coupe starts at $130K plus any options you order.

EDIT #2: the drawing has been held and I haven't been notified. :(

EDIT #3: just got an email - 23 slots went unclaimed, 2nd lottery on Mon. Fingers crossed. :)

Wonder whats up with the Karmann Ghia in the background?

78F350 03-29-2015 10:58 AM

Here's a 'Booster-s' in FT Worth for only $6400. It might have been a good deal if it was Boxster S, even with the crack on the sit. Not quite meeting the 'S' standard though. I suppose you could put a base bumper on an S and delete the middle radiator.
