Does the top of this used 987 look normal to you?
 

Hi (again).

I'm still on the hunt for a Boxster and saw this one at a Porsche dealer. In the notes it says that is has a brand new top. I'm not close enough to stop by and look at it, so I was wondering what you guys who are familiar with Boxsters think about the top. For some reason it seemed off to me - like it's too tight or something - but maybe I'm wrong.

Looks like it needs a sandwich.

From the last picture, it does look like it is stretched too tight. On my 01S, the roof line looks smooth by comparison.

If it is a brand new top it will look tight until the fabric stretches out. Most shops that install tops recommend leaving the top closed for at least three months as the new tight fabric will put a strain on the opening and closing top mechanism.

That's a nice looking car.
