while we're on the subject...

what's the coldest tremp. that you can put the top down? I think i read that it was 60F, otherwise you risk damaging your rear view...can anyone confirm this??

I have a '97 and don't go topless unless over 60 degrees( and "chop" the window). Rear plastic window is in good shape and I want to keep it that way! BTW I have used Novus plastic polish and it was OK. But I have found for me the Porsche window polish works the best for my car. My advise is to be very careful with the temperature and keep that window in shape! Good Luck!

Yeah! 70 and sunny today in NJ. Top down on the way home... took the long way. I forgot how awesome the car sounds with the top down. I love the growl of the intake right next to my ear with the Evolution Intake! Hopefully the first of many top down days this summer!

In the sixties in Boston all week, have driven to work top down, sun out, absolutely perfect. Dont leave until 7ish when the sun is down. At this point it is low fifties, top still down, windows up, heat-high, fan-max=good to go

Today was Heaven. My first real top down sunny day with the car since I got it. Oh Baby! Nice, nice, very nice. At night when I leave its been chilly enough that I've put the heated seats on low and I'm good but when the suns up and its warm its Heaven.

Top stays down until 45

I live in L.A. and so I get to drive my car to work every morning/night with the top down every day, since the lowest temp I've seen is 45. I have the 2006 (=glass window), so I'm ok. I do get some funny looking stares from the native Angelinos since "cold" to them is below 65. As a concession to the cold, the seat heaters go on below 55.
