Boxster quiz..
Please provide the following values, 04 S 6-sp, 17' wheels. Displayed value, no math needed. MPH, please....
6th gear, 3K on tach = ? 5th gear, 4k on tach = ? 4th gear, 5k on tach = ? Please feel free to try to stump the rest of the forum with your little known facts. Mr. Raby, please no internal engine values. |
6th gear, 3K on tach = 75 MPH actual - 78 MPH displayed
5th gear, 4k on tach = 81.5 MPH actual - 84 MPH displayed 4th gear, 5k on tach = 82 MPH actual - 85 MPH displayed Repost.... I have a GPS in the car and look at the true MPH / RPM. In sixth gear for every 2,000 RPM there is a 5 MPH change. In 5th gear there is a 4 MPH change for every 2,000 MPH. This is on my car and my GPS. Errors may exist due to operator error, tach off, GPS MPH off. But, here is what I came up with. '01 S 6 Speed 6th Gear...............5th Gear RPMs......MPH........RPMs.......MPH 2600......65...........2600.......53.5 2800......70...........2800.......57.5 3000......75...........3000.......61.5 3200......80...........3200.......65.5 3400......85...........3400.......69.5 3600......90...........3600.......73.5 3800......95...........3800.......77.5 4000......100..........4000.......81.5 |
So is there any way to make the speedometer accurate? Even the meanest beater has an accurate speedometer. This is the one thing that bugs me every time I drive the box.
