I just installed the console delete kit and it does make a big difference in terms of leg room. Until now my right leg leaned against the console and rubbed it so much that the vinyl was showing significant wear. Heel and toe was always a bit awkward in the Boxster and this makes a huge difference.

If your tall (I'm 6'4") and looking for more leg room I highly recommend this modification.

This was one of the first changes I did to my Boxster when I bought it. I'm 6'1" and it's definitely more comfortable to drive, as I had the same issue you did.

Any of you guys who have done it have a console with an upper cubby you'd want to sell?

Suncoast Porsche. they have the best price that I could find. Including a new plastic surround for the HVAC controls and shipping it was under $200.
