Beater Boxster rear trunk lid..

I have an opportunity to purchase a 2001 Boxster S rear trunk lid. Will this be a drop in replacement for my 2002 base model Boxster? I'm wanting to replace mine due to these golf ball sized dents. The strange thing about these dents they appear to have been caused by something that was inside the trunk?? Imagine a can golf balls exploding inside the trunk. That is what my current lid looks like.

Also, will the rear deck tail light be swappable between the two?
