If You're a Little Taller Than Normal, Read This...

Got the Sparco Sprint seat last Thursday. Haven't had time to fully mount it yet, but we did take the stock seat out and mock up the new one. Wow. As you can see in the attached pictures, the difference in legroom and headroom with the Sparco vs. the stock seat is UNREAL. It is absolutely massive. Being 6'5, this should've been the very first thing I did to the car. The seat being mounted directly on the floor (no sliders, sorry if you're 5'7 and want to drive) along with the fact that the seat has almost no thickness to the bottom or back means you get as close to the firewall and the floor as possible. As far as comfort, can't really tell because I obviously haven't driven it yet. But just sitting in it, it's actually really nice. Plus, anything is better than having your legs splayed to drive. I'm a 36 waist, and I fit snug in the seat. You won't fit if you're any bigger. No need for the GT3 Delete at all. I'll keep my double din and lower A/C control thank you very much

Thanks for the info! I would imagine this along with a squared off steering wheel would be fantastic!

What do you do with the seatbelt for a seat like that? The end that the seat belt clips into?

Same height problem here. I did something similar on another convertible. Looked great, felt great, really pleased - until I took a long drive. It was excruciating. Refitted the original seat, sold the aftermarket seat and the car !
It is a major issue because how can you test drive a seat for1+hours?
So let us know if your thinly padded Sparco works on a loooong drive. Tracking doesn't count:-)
The other issue is that we are all 'contoured' differently so one anecdotal success is not perfectly predictive for all.
The seats in my Dodge diesel pickup are superb but ..........

Custom made brackets that mount to the original holes for the stock seat.

Thank you. How did you settle on the sprint vs other seats like the Corbeau Forza? I have only sat in a few and I never thought to make note of the brand/style.

I knew that the sprint looked exactly like the style seat I wanted, plus it was $400, which is fairly cheap for a quality brand like Sparco

Would you want to sell your stock seat at any point in time to a local guy? I could use a new driver seat and you wouldn't have to ship .
