I can't watch the History Channel show unless it's taped so I can FF through the recap of each segment after EACH commercial break..:mad:

I don't think they will find anything...if you like good fiction based on some historical fact about Oak Island find the book "Rip Tide" and read it...wonderfully entertaining book about how a large corp[oration set out to solve the mystery with engineers and a huge team of workers...the end is a bit lame but getting to it will make you keep wanting to read.

I remember as a kid, my Dad used to tell me about Oak Island. He was from Nova Scotia, but not that area. It's always been a local mystery, with the odd treasure seeker trying to unearth whatever's in there. I'm going for pirate treasure. Whether it's already been secretly found, or if there's anything still in there, will have to remain to be seen.

Nova Scotia has an very interesting history. It's also long been a drug importation place that the locals don't like to talk about. At the oddest spots down various coasts, remote spots, there are old crudely built railway tracks running right down into the water, supposedly to facilitate the loading (or unloading) of stuff from boats. Or so I've been told.

I think the real treasure you'll find in the nearby hardware supply stores, the nearby grocery stores and the nearby motels.
This Oak Island story has been going for many years.

I DVR'ed a couple episodes to cut out the commercials. I real time there was 18 minutes of new information in an hour episode. if you don't account for the season recaps, episode section recaps, and commercials.

The only treasure there is the commercial fee the network is hauling in.
