Perhaps you've heard about this thing called Google:

Where to Buy | Mobil 1™ Synthetic Motor Oil

https://www.motul.com/ca/en-us/resellers

Find a Retailer for Royal Purple High Performance Synthetic Oil & Lubricants

Every Walmart here has Mobil 1 in that weight as well as Advance, Orileys and even (Horrors) Autozone...it is just not that hard to find. Still $25 for 5 quarts here....and we are not trying to be the north end of a south bound horse....it is just easy to find.

At the Wally worlds up in my neck of the woods they only carry 0-W40 of Castrol and Mobil 1. No stores carry Motul. I have found Motul 8100 on amazon $50 for a five liter jug.

I was just on walmart website, no luck on the 5 40 except for diesel. The guy who did
ims went motul 5w40. Prior to that 2 changes no weight listed, Brumos, no weight listed, needless to say super frustrated.Maybe walmart was out but I did not see empty spot on shelf nor did the other 2 stores carry it. So reluctantly I posted the question and sure enough as with all oil questions whamo! I was going to just use 10w 40 because that is what the OWNERS MANUEL said when I finally looked (duh)after all the answers I got. However, curiosity killed the cat IM DEAD! AS far as 0w 40 sure if that is what you guys think. please supply link for 5w40 on walmart site in Jax Fl if you please Thanks in advance

i've had no luck finding mobil 5w40 in canada. been using delvac 5w40 and am happy (lots of big diesels where i live). moving to motul. i get it shipped, as motul brick and mortar vendors are hard to find as well (subaru and motorcycle shops tend to have it, however).

Hi, it's me, buttlick, rejoining the conversation. Just my opinion, but if you change your oil as frequently as most of us do (annually, or every 3,000 to 5,000 miles), I'm sure the Mobil 1 0W-40 that Wally World seems to have in every store would be just fine.

I have been using Joe Gibbs DT40, and I get by the quart at Amazon so I only have to buy 9 or 10 quarts at a time vs a case of 12. Free shipping and the cost per quart isn't that much more than single quarts of Mobile 1 or the others at a local store. For my other vehicles I run Castrol Edge Synthetic 5w30 that I get in the 5 quart jugs at WM but single quarts at WM seem to be around the same price as everywhere else. Amazon carries the Motul as well.

Where at in FL? I am in North Central FL, 45 minutes north of Gainesville. We should have a FL 986 get together some time

5 QT bottles of Mobil 1 0W40 are readily available at Walmart .... "European Car Formula" and on the list of approved oils from Porsche. Will also flow better at startup, which is where most engine wear occurs. You're not going to find the filter there, though - they don't stock it. Buy it at Advance Auto online with in-store pickup using code TRT30 which will save you 30%.

If I wasn't running the DT40 I would probably be using the Castrol 0W40, around $22-23 for a 5 qt jug at my WM here. Before switching to DT40 I was running Castrol Edge 5W40 that I got at one of the auto parts stores during a buy one get one free special and the UOA for that oil was very good.

I am also using Joe Gibbs DT40 5w40. I order it from www.Summitracing.com. It is $10.90 a quart and they offer free shipping. So, for a mere $109.00 plus and an oil filter (spin on) I do an oil change once a year. Summit sells it by the quart so there is no need to buy more than you want/need.

Driven DT40 is a great oil. As is Mobil 5W50 (Porsche approved) and easily bought from Amazon with free shipping.

Since getting my baby back from Flat 6 Innovations I only use Joe Gibbs Racing DT-40. Summit Racing is driving distance from where I live, and they offer a discount (I think it's 10%) if you buy it by the case. I think ordering a case will also get free shipping, but it's such a cool place to visit that for me at least it's worth the drive.
