Winter storage- Desiccant packs in the Trunk & Frunk?
Does anyone put desiccant packs in the trunk & frunk during winter storage? Or just in the passenger compartment?
|
Neither; I don't use them at all. Are you planning to store the car outside, uncovered? I don't think they're necessary if the car is well covered, or in a garage.

UPDATE:
I went under the covers yesterday for a quick inspection, and to see if she would start. She started right up! I had her on a Harbor Freight charger all winter with no problems. The inside was bone dry with no musty odors. The 2 large desiccant packs I had put in the footwells did their job, as they did absorb quite a bit. I also have one in the trunk, and one in the frunk. I will re-charge them in the microwave, and seal them for next storage season. Dirt cheap insurance against moisture related issues if you ask me. |
