That's interesting! I always thought the center console is too low. Now I just need to study those pics and build my own version!:)

yeah - that one is for a 996 so won't fix a 986 (the 996 console has a piece that finishes the end facing the back seat).

It's great to have the shifter/shifter base higher (console out) but not sure you would be happy with the whole console higher.....I have the 997 ssk and I still get my right elbow colliding with the console if my shifter knob is too low
