Durametric code reader
I am interested in purchasing a Durametric code reader for my 2000 Boxter S. Can anyone advise me as to which version to purchase.mi only have 1 Porsche and no plans for more.

Enthusiast version is fine. No downside.

^^^^^ As NewArt says ^^^^^^
Just about the best $350 spent - the first time I used it there was a pending MAF fault indicated. The car was still under OPC warranty & the dealer replaced the MAF, so the Durametric paid for itself immediately. And great people to deal with..... |
Will I be able to check camshaft deviations, my primary reason to purchase one? I already have a generic OBD2 reader.
|
Yes you will be able to do that. I do this regularly now and take a screenshot annually just to compare for any changes or fluctuations. This can help diagnose early IMS failures.
|
This is an awesome scanner and so much more. You can see EVERYTHING live and record it on your notebook for review after a drive. I've used mine to look at cam deviations, reset seat belt and air bag codes. It works really well.

Email them and ask about refurbished units. I saved $$ and got a looks-like-new set.
