Another owner with radio problems

I own a 1999 base model with the original radio. The radio started cutting out while driving.
It only worked when the key was turned to Acc. I searched the forum and the consensus was that it was an ignition switch problem. I replaced the switch this weekend and there is no change. Also, sometimes the radio stays on when the car is turned off and the key removed? Any ideas?
I wanted to mention that when unscrewing the two screws that hold the ignition switch in place, I used the screw driver on my mini Swiss army knife. It worked great! I couldn't get any torque using Jewelers tools.

I've always thought my radio was haunted. It has stopped working from time to time for a day or two and then miraculously heals itself! Never have figured out why.

I have the PCM 2.0. Mine jumps to another station for a few seconds, then back. Or it will repeat its' self, like it's stuttering. My research says maybe I need to clean the traces behind the buttons. Not sure how to do that so haven't pulled it yet. Might help you tho. Got a quote to fix it (and pull out a stuck CD) for $600 :(

With the $ we spend on maintenance, why not spend a couple hundred on a replacement and let the installer figure out if there's a wiring problem? You'll get a better system, maybe with blue-ray for your smartphone, and solve the problem.
