Used Litronics

I have an offer in on a pair of used litronics. I have done some research, but I'm a bit unsure of how to proceed. Here are my questions:

1. If I install them without the control module and wiring harness that comes with the retrofit kit, will they work? It seems that based on my research, the low beams won't swivel up to assist the high beams.

2. If one of the projectors is loose, can it be repaired? I haven't found anyone who says they can, but it appears you can take them apart with a little heat, so if the price is right I'm wondering if it is worth a try.

Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.

They will work without any modification, you can just straight swap them like a regular headlight. The wiring harness will only cause the low beam to swivel up into the high beam, but is not required for the high beams to function. You cannot add the self leveling feature, that was only available if it was ordered with Litronics from the factory.

Not sure about the second question.

For the second question, when I was changing a bulb I popped something inside the light and related to the projector forward. I was able to use a hook tool and gently pull it back until it popped into place. Possibly that is what happened with the lights in question.

Thanks for the responses. I am likely to have more questions after I receive the lights.
