2001 Boxster spare tire

My spare tire (which I recently had to use) was made in 2001, the same year as my Boxster. Discount Tire says that Continental no longer makes the 105/95 R17, and I can't seem to find one. The replacement they sold me (which they will refund) doesn't fit in the allocated space when fully inflated. Any ideas on where to get a new one of these tires? I searched online, but can't find anyone that has one.

P.S. I searched the forums first, but could only find entire spares for sale, some with tires as old as mine.

Last month I noticed the spare (original in my 2000) was not holding air.

I was able to get my local Goodyear to replace the valve stem so as to keep required pressure.

Big relief as evil-bay and others want hundreds for them.

Porsche dealer somewhere told me it is in stock for high price but I failed to ask the production date.Check the classifieds here and local PCA regions.

Mine is old too.Maybe we will all be OK for very short usage.

Well, all take-out spare tires are going to be 10 years old at the newest as they were discontinued when 987/997 production started.

Could look into a Vredestein collapsible tire to see if there's one that will fit the rim.

What size was the replacement they sold you? Was it this tire?
