Daily driver to WeekEnder
So since January I don't need the Boxster as my daily anymore. For 1-1/2 years previous, it was my daily
So if I don't sell it (I'm going round and round about that) Is there anything different as far as storing that I should think about?? It goes in the garage I usually wash and dry it before putting it away if it was a dirty drive I cover it I check air, oil, water before any start ups or drives I read it bed time stories each night Fortunately most of my weekend drives are to visit kids at school and that's a 2 hour drive each way so the best kind of workout |
If you can afford it, have the space and enjoy it keep it. I will likily be in the same place in a few weeks and I can't imagine life without a Porsche. I went for a few years without and regreted it almost every day.
You might also want to take it for a spin after wasking to get the mositure out of the brakes. Washing and parking without getting heat into the brakes to help with evaporation is hard on the brakes. |
I use a leaf blower to get rid of water after I wash the car
seems to work well to get rid of the water in the brakes and wheels as well as the nooks and crannies on the car |
Keep it if you can ! The segments of my life without a Porsche or something close were dreary.

Hold onto the car, prices are steadying expect an upturn within the next 5 years.

I would recommend putting it on a battery tender.
