What is this convertible top?

Found this pic on the internet of a cover that goes over the top when its stowed. Is this a custom cover or can anyone tell me how this works or where it can be purchased?

Part of a Tonneau cover?

Perfectlap 09-29-2014 08:53 AM

it's something that can't stored in the rear or front truck when it starts raining.

It's a convertible top. Top.

It sure looks to me to be some sort of cover to hide the fact that the soft top has been removed. Look at the gaps and how it lays. There is nothing underneath (well no soft top that is).

Ferrari..... Looking at the badges on the side of the car.....

Ferrari Boxster?

Appears it is a custom job, finally got in touch with the owner and said he "made it." I do like the look but I think Parrot is right, looks like it required the top removed to install it.

I've worked with FG molding since forever, if that cover is less than 1/8 inch, it certainly fit over the standard 'down position' top.
It looks like it may be a combination of a 'flat' section that has been mated to minor fitments.

Why would anyone do that? Oh yeah his car but you couldn't hold me totally responsible for the look I would give him at a stop light.

Car looks nice otherwise.

I don't think it's the Ferrari horse. It may be a rooster. Which some brand of aftermarket parts uses.

Guys - It's the Stuttgart "Prancing Horse"

Go look at the Porsche crest on the nose of your car...

- 2 points for all of you...
