Got Type Rated on the Boeing 777! It has been a long, grueling month but well worth it:) Still bummed I missed Boxtoberfest though.

Beautiful job on those! Makes me wish I had my old Kirby to send to you for refurb. Still haven't been able to kill the Electrolux Jubilee canister I bought new in 1972 though!

Thanks! Top pic is a '70 Classic and the bottom pic is a '73 Omega and a '65 D50. I'm currently working on a '76 Classic III. I've been trying to find a '68 D80 locally but no luck so far.

So the thing on the front of the '73 is a cat catcher or what? :D

Lol - that's a 70's style shag carpet rake! (And we're not allowed to say the c word in here anymore)

Oops, forgot about the 'C' word (even though mine was only the 3 letter version). Thanks Timco for ruining that one for us! ;)

During our long cold Michigan winters, I enjoy working with stained glass. These are are few of the lamps that I have done in the last couple of years. It's almost that time of year again so I am beginning to think about my next project!

I have my mom's '72 Kennmore that you could work some magic on! It's orange as I recall. Maybe yellow.

Do people still use or buy carpet? Or a vacuum that weighs more than a Boxster?

Those old babies shine!

Nothing like a well executed cat delete job....

I did mine last year.......came out perfect. No sign of any cats under my car now.

Made some changes this year to my life in that I am not going to spend the next five years running around the Middle East and other countries and so I jumped back into racing. Was introduced to a wonderful racer who started in racing back in the 50's and just retired last year. He is a Boeing Engineer (now retired) and has been building among other things airplanes and race bikes at his home. This was his last bike he built for an East Coast Endurance race. His partner in England ended up getting a pace maker and dropping out and his other partner (another Boeing Eng) ended up having a heart attack. This left Steve who wound up having his knee replaced and he could no longer run the track (yet he still races dirt bikes at 75)! He decided he wanted to get rid of his collection of bikes and focus on building his wooden monoplanes.

A friend told me about his collection and gave me his phone number. We talked for a couple of hours and the deal was done. A 5 hour drive to his home, almost 6 hours looking at his plane, photos, drinking coffee and walking his property and my simply enjoying his life story and we put the bike in the trailer and I brought her home.

A slightly long story, but if I just post a picture it really does no justice to the efforts he put into this bike. I had Stella on the track at Pacific and was able to push her north of 190 on the straights. Man he built a monster.

Beautiful work! I used to fly into Kalamazoo quite regularly and your winters are brutal! Awesome summers though:cheers:
