Front hood height relative to bumper

I just got my car back from the shop and the hood seems flush with the front bumper. If I remember correctly, it was slightly lower than the bumper when closed. Which way should it be and how hard is it to adjust?

You are correct. The hood is slightly lower than the front bumper. Can't help you on the rest, sorry.

Thanks. Going to take it back for an adjustment.

you may just have to lower the locking mechanism. I do know there is some serious play on this issue. Originally my hood was inset really far (to the point it looked like it was messed up). now it is almost even. I prefer it this way.

It's not too difficult to adjust the frunk latch. Peel back the carpet at the front of the frunk and you'll find the two bolts that secure it. Adjust accordingly. :)

The front lip of the hood must be slightly lower than the trailing edge of the bumper cover or the car will howl like a banshee on the highway.

Glad to hear you got your car back.

Thanks! So happy to drive it again. Every day is a little better for it.
