Driver Height

Post your Height here. I am 6'5 and always like to hear how tall other Boxster drivers are. If I had a dime for every time I heard "How do you fit in that car?", I'd probably have a 981. Anyways, I feel like I'm about the Max height to drive this car comfortably without modification, and I even plan on some seat modification to give me a couple more inches of head/legroom.

I'm 6'1", decently long legs. Getting in and out takes a touch of contortion, but not enough to embarrass myself. I keep the seat down and back all the way, backrest as far back as it can comfortably go. Oddly enough, it's easier to get in/out of 964s and 987s for me.

6'2" I fit in the boxster just fine. Other cars like S2000 are a no go, and miatas are doable but very tight for me.

6'2". Always had more head room in the 987 than my Explorer. The new 991 C2S Cab is even better.

Ditto on 5'10" No real problem maneuvering about the cockpit or getting or out.

I hear the Lotus Elise is a real treat to enter/exit.

6'2" and still growing :/ I have more head room in the box then in my sisters jeep though. Extremely easy to get in, like sitting onto a bean bag chair, just difficult a bit getting out gracefully. Driving position is great though, like a to kart. The wheel is the perfect spot infront of you, and at the perfect angle.

Just 6' but the fit has always be better than any other sports car. In the end this was one of the many reasons for the purchase.

I'm 6'4". The steering wheel is a little too close for comfort but no real problem. Plenty of head room. Getting in and out is NO problem, but i think that is more of a weight issue than a height issue. Not over weight at all so I'm still flexible.

my biggest fear is that I look ridiculous driving with the top down the top of my head sticks a couple inches above the roll hoops

Am 5-10 and great for me.

A friend who is 6-4 and 250 tried a Box and complained.

I told him to pop off the shoes and it made a big difference for him.

6' 4" and have very few problems. My right leg does rub against the center console a bit, but that will be corrected as soon as I do the console delete and move my A/C controls up top. (Goodbye cupholders.)

Also 6'4" and have the same problem. Makes heel and toeing awkward. I'm debating going with a console delete myself but can live with it as is.

I'm 6', but I added the bk roll bar extender to pass the broom stick
Test for tracking with helmet.

God forbid it happens, but if you roll the Boxster and your head is the highest point, it's not going to be pretty.

6'3" and that seems the max for me.

Seat back is in the roll hoop and squeaking as a result. Some felt in there to combat. Lot of good high seat back is going to do me if rear ended.

Having trouble being smooth with clutch.

Worried about leg clearance if install OBC control stalk.

6'3. 986 was a good fit. Other sports cars always a bit snug.MG, TR6. Initially looked at Honda 2000 but a 986 was available at the local dealer. All I had to do was sit in it and hear the engine. A guy in a Miata was there only a few minutes ahead of me and bought it. I was hooked and started looking immediately. Bought a 986S in Texas and drove back 900 mi to Florida. Never felt cramped.

6'00" and it's really comfortable. Seat is all the way back and seat back tilted froward bit for proper driving position. I have done longer drives 350 miles + and felt great
