CDR 220 oddity

My CDR 220 works fine...except that last week the right rotary knob stopped functioning. If you push it in, it still does the scan function, but simply turning the knob to go to the next radio station or next CD track no longer works.

I was hoping this was related to my known ignition switch problem, but I have now changed the switch, and the knob wasn't affected, darn. I disconnected the battery to do the switch, and hoped that that would clear the prob, but no dice. I thought maybe I had accidentally programmed the radio somehow and that's why the function stopped.

Anyone know how I can get the knob to work again?

It seems to have fixed itself, as it suddenly started working again. It's possible that high heat (96*F) yesterday was responsible for "clearing" the problem. Bizarre, I know, usually high heat CAUSES problems. Whatever fixed it, I'm glad. Was not looking forward to having to get a dodgy used ebay replacement or having to find a new unit that didn't look out of place in the dash.
