While the wheel are off for refinishing.....
 

When I bought my ’03 18" Light Alloy Carrera Wheels off of Craigslist they were a 7/10. I touched them up and figured they were at a 8/10. Still, every time I looked at the wheels they bothered me. So off to Wheels America they went. I’ll pick them up Monday and post the results of their work.

While the wheels were off it gave me an opportunity to do some cleaning of the wheel wells, the brake calipers and polish the muffler. All fun stuff.

What did you treat the plastic inner fender liners with? Mine are getting silvery-gray, and yours look nice and black. Great garage, by the way.

Thanks for the kind words. The garage is a labor of love. I put down the Vinyl Composite Tile (VCT) floor almost seven years ago then a couple years later I installed mirrored wardrobe closet door across the back to conceal the shelves. I bought a high speed polisher off of Craigslist and burnish it a couple times a month. It is far from maintenance free but I enjoy how it looks and the upkeep. It is like waxing the cars. Fun stuff.

I believe one reason my wheel wells cleaned up so well is the car only has 24,000 miles on it and it has never been driven in the rain. I used Lexol Vinylex to clean the wheel well liners. I also use it on the tires and all rubber, plastic and vinyl parts on the cars. Great stuff. I use so much of it I buy it by the gallon. Love cleaning!

I am fighting the urge to get under the car and wipe down all of undercarriage. I bet it would clean up real nice.

I used to do this to my previous ride; back before marriage & kids. You know, when there was such a thing as personal time. :D
Now I'm just glad to get out and drive.
I don't even care that the Boxster is still loaded with bug guts from my Indianapolis road trip.

Easier than the wheel wells.....
