That must be in southern California only. Up here in nothern California I park my car everywhere with meter maids and never once had I had a front license plate on any other cars I drove. Even the times I received tickets for where I parked no mention of how I do not have a license in the front.

Jeph, same thing happened to me. I was driving to San Antonio and I was stopped by a Texas Department of Public Safety Highway patrol officer. Gave me a written warning for no license plate.

The wife was with me and I got a dirty look for not having a front plate. I put one on and it fell off in the garage when I grazed it with my pant leg. Lousy bracket. Never put it back on.

I got pulled over last weekend on I-10 in Texas. The trooper did a u-turn quite a ways behind me. I saw him, so I pulled over into the slow lane in front of 3 other cars. He pulled up to the car in back, looked inside the car and then eased up to the next car. He repeated this with every car until he got to me. I was going 72 in a 70.....figured that was safe. I was wrong. He forced his way in behind me and flipped on his lights. Needless to say, after he checked my CHL I got out of the car, he ran my pistol and then gave me a warning for 73 in a 70. Total Porsche profiling in my opinion. He could have pulled over anyone, but he picked me. I had my younger brother in the car and we both probably looked a little young for that area.

Time to get a detector, and from now on if the speed says 70.....I'm gonna go 68 when I see a cop.

CHL = Concealed Handgun License for those of you who are not privey to the freedoms afforded to us Texans. I don't like the heat and humidity, but I sure do like the ability to carry a loaded, concealed handgun if I want to do so.

No offense but does any company make a Rifle Rack for the Boxster?

What a great idea. Top down displays of one's 12 gauge shot gun.

It would be very hard to convince a cop that you're headed out to a remote area to hunt ducks in a boxster, don't you think?
