so how do you position your foot on the gas pedal ?!
one of those seemingly stupid questions.
I have my heel back a bit, on the floor and only the ball of my foot is in contact with the pedal.
This way because most cars I drive the pedal is hinged at the top.
But my 986 and BMW have a long flat pedal hinged on the floor.
Got me thinking, should the whole flat of my foot be on the pedal, heel pushed up against the bottom of the pedal?
How do the porsche racing drivers do it?
I go thinking about this coz I sometimes now get pain in the ball of my foot where I Push the pedal due to joint problems!

I've found I get much more precise pedal control (non egas at least) with my whole foot against the pedal. With just the ball of my foot, sometimes I get too much blip, sometimes barely any.
Plus, with just the ball, your shoe has to slide along the pedal as you press it, assuming you dont move your heel around, which was probably part of my problem.

Size 16 shoes here. I can just use the tip of my foot/shoe. With the new rev matching feature in the 991....it's sooooo easy to down-shift now.....no more heel & toe.

Mine is always all the way up or stomped to the floor. Doesn't really matter......

So, you don't really need a throttle, just an 'on/off' switch. Works for me!!

I've always just used the tip of my feet, makes for an easier transition to break and is simply more comfortable... Always barefoot as well

I have a pair of Piloti driving shoes with rounded heels, makes a big difference in relieving pressure on your heel.
