OK 1 more question. My boxster has an aftermarket radio (which I hate) with amp.According to Pedros list there are two 696 codes. One is CD radio PorscheCDR 220 and the other is AM/FM CD Bose package and 6 CD Changer.I am looking for OEM radio so which one do I get?

The CDR 220 was the basic radio package (w/ CD player). The Bose was a higher dollar option. I'm not real up on what all is involved w/ the Bose system, but I don't think you can mix/match the standard system w/ the Bose system.

If you have the Bose package (you probably don't) you will have the Bose logo on your speaker grills.

You can also have the CDR 220 w/ a 6 CD Changer.

I'd find a CDR 220 and a standard factory amp and go that route to bring it back to stock.
