No Washer Fluid
Here is a good Q&A from the PCA about fixing your washer fluid line:
Question:
I hope someone can help me.
The other day I noticed I was out of washer fluid "cause the light was on" I put in more fluid, the light turned off but nothing comes out when I try to spray it. I can hear the motor running but nothing. then after a while the light comes back on. I filled it again and NOTHING!
Now I know there is likely a break in the line to the holder where the fluid is held OR a break in the container.
My question is where is it? and Can I get at it to fix it myself?
Please help
Answer:
What has happened most likely and very common is the line came off of the nipple. The line is located in the drivers wheel well and behind the fender liner. To access it you should raise the left front wheel off of the ground and remove it. This is not required but offers better access. Always secure the car with a jack stand so that it does not fall on you. Now remove the few retainers (plastic nuts) towards the rear of the liner. Pull the liner down but not off. At the inside top area of the fender you will see that the line has popped off the nipple. Reinstall the hose on the nipple and secure it with a small hose clamp. The hose clamp will prevent this from happening again. Now just top off the washer solvent and fully assemble.
