Hi from germany
Hi,
my name is Markus. I'm from germany and live near Zuffenhausen. I own a 2003 Boxster S which i bought new in 2003. So i have the car now for 11 years. I drive it only from april to october. Never in winter.
Read a lot in here. Found interesting projects and think it's now time to introduce myself.

Hi,
well, because i live near Zuffenhausen new Porsche are very common cars. You'll see everything, even prototypes. Older Boxsters are a little more rare, but there are some around.
If you are interested in numbers, i've attached a chart for registrations in germany dated January 2013.

Markus I am curious how is the Boxster perceived in Germany ?Here in the states there seems to be a pecking order where the 911/996/997 is thought to be superior vs. the Boxster being an entry level car. I personally don't share that view but I'm in the minority. And welcome to the forum ! And congrats on the world cup results

Was ist denn los mit dein Namen, smallblock454? Just curious. Aren't all 454s big block?

Hi,
well, i think it's the same over here in germany. The 986 is commonly called a "girls car". Until the guys try the car themselves, notice the clutch force and handling of a 986 S. The saying is that the guy bought himself a 996 and 986 for his wife.
Maybe things have changed a little bit since the 981 Boxster. This seems to be more accepted as a mens sports car - maybe because it looks more agressive. While for shure a 993, 996, 997, or 991 always were mens cars and fully accepted as sports cars. But there are also a couple of successful women driving these cars.

Hi,
no, if you use the right crankshaft and overbore you can also build a 454 cui engine with a small block engine case.

let me think...1990 Weltmeister...so it is the 2nd title for unified Germany, YAY
and 24 years is not really that long
