Boot Stop

Hello, I'm new to the 986 forum and have already got a lot of helpful info! I was painting my calipers and noticed my boot stops are looking rotten. Does this need immediate attention, or just wait until I replace the struts? I have 86k on my 02 base model. Thanks in advance!

I am guessing that you mean the bump stops on the struts are deteriorated. If so, this is fairly normal for a 14 yr old car and most people wait until the struts are replaced. You don't say how many miles you have but if its near 100K, then the struts themselves are probably ready for replacement.

You're correct, bump stop! My bad. Hey thanks for the feedback.
