We've always gone to The Cabernet Grill when in Fredericksburg. Decent steaks there; reservations recommended. Other attendees like the Navajo Grill, but I don't have any personal experience with that establishment.
Be aware that Fredericksburg is not a "foodie" town like Houston, so we keep it simple. Just sayin'............ TO |
Thanks, TO! Look forward to meeting you!

Really bummed I can't go, hope you have great weather and safe driving:cheers:

We made reservations at August E's...

Locked and loaded for an early departure tomorrow AM. Scarlett is washed and detailed as much as I can muster. Spoke with our drive leader; he has a Garmin GPSr pre-loaded with the drive route for me. Wonder what he's got in mind?

Man, just missed it. I'll have to try for next year now that I know about it.
Hopefully someone will be posting pics of the event? :) |
Just got back from the event. Put 800 miles on the Boxster, 225 of which were spent on flat-out, red-lining twisties of the back roads in Texas Hill Country.
Really fast group this year; I counted six times when we hit triple digits. Really had to thrash Scarlett to keep her 2.5L up with the 911s, but we hung with them all afternoon. :) Great crowd, drive, food, drink, and especially camaraderie with fellow PCA members. Only took two pics, there's a plethora of them from the drive on the Twisted Sisters posted here: Cars Next up.........PCA Palooza in Eureka Springs, AR in November! http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1410128289.jpg Saturday morning lineup. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1410128356.jpg View from the balcony: 2013 981- 2008 987- Scarlett. What a great day of driving in the Texas Hill Country!
The pace this year was a lot faster than last year. (At least for me...) Could have been because I was the 4th car behind the route leader in the morning, and 3rd after lunch. Some of my pictures: http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1410196961.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1410196999.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1410197030.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1410197057.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1410197081.jpg  |

If you ever get the hankering -- MSR-Cresson is awesome for Boxsters.... I got to terrorize a lot of higher HP cars because the grip and handling was so darn good. No garage queen -- but she's a blast on the track.... Just got my numbers prior to loading up for the track. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1410198683.jpg Mike |
Was a nice day, great group of people and cars.
Here are a few photos I took and uploaded to Photo Bucket, too large to load up here. Boxstoberfest 2014 Photos by troll_022 | Photobucket Took a few hundred shots, but will take time to edit and upload. |
