As far as the mileage and track use, I'll be the dissenting voice and say that Miata engines run this kind of mileage and track time without such consequences and certainly not at such cost.
Not to put down Porsche, just to point out that when it comes to stock engines doing non-stock duty, zee Germans (save for the GT3 stuff) are a long way from the Japanese on durability.
