Direct Fuel Injection on Base 987 - II

Wondering if anyone has tried to retrofit the DFI from the 987-S onto a 987-Base?

What benefits can we derive from that?

Start calculating the total all in cost to convert an non DFI car to DFI specs, and then you will understand why people don't do it.

It would actually be cheaper to just buy the DFI car to begin with................

Or just build the original engine properly and keep the car simple.

The 9a1 DFI engines aren't a magical solution, after 4 years of experience with them, including seeing them fail at less than 4,200 miles, others are just now starting to see what we've been seeing.

It took about 5 years for M96 issues to become common knowledge-
