Brake pad question!!
So both new sets of OEM rotors came in, and my ceramic front pads. Rear pads later next week.
Can I do all rotors, ceramics in the front, and use the Textar semi metallics in the rear (about new) until the ceramic rear pads are in? I'll resurface the pads to flat and crisp. Thanks. |
I would....Are you concerned that the difference in grip level of the pads may be great enough to cause 'problems' while trailbraking at the limit in the rain?

I would wait on the backs until the new pads come in, just to take no chances. You are doing this because of noise right? And why do the backs twice :)

The Textar pads are 3 weeks old, maybe a tank of gas. Don't mind taking the rears back off at all. Yes. Those rotors have squealed since I bought them. Nothing could stop it. |
Gotcha maybe it could be the existing back rotors. I am in a rental now because someone ran a red light and I hit them with my fj cruiser, and the rental whistles anytime I drive 55+. It is going back Monday... noises can be very irritating...
