Wurth Citrus Degreaser
I heard that the Wurth Citrus Degreaser is very good for cleaning wheels. It can be cut with water, and used in a spray bottle. Does anyone know where this can be purchased? Thanks.

Only P21s touches my lovelies.
Then Klasse All in ONe and a final touch of either Michelin Brake dust repellent or that NXT. I recently purchased FK1- FX100 spray sealant and FX 425 for quick detailing. Wheels unlike body paint should be waxed every time you clean them. I think use more clay bar on my wheels then the car, easily. |
Hi
I use that citrus stuff on my bicycle to clean the chain before reapplying grease, here you can get it easily from bike shops but I never tried it on my wheels. It works brilliant for the chain but on wheels......? |

He said the problem with some of the wheel cleaners, even good ones like Perfectlaps P21s, it that they remove the wax too. |
That's true P21s strips everything off. Which is really what you need. Waxes and sealants are good against weathering but useless against brake dust. The dust will cut through your wax/sealant and stick to your paint finish.
That stuff needs to come off each time you clean your wheels, in other words waxing wheels is not a long term treament like layering Klasse on your hood. A real pain in the but those expensive Porsche wheels... |

I remember a few years ago when i had a 3 serie beamer and BBS wheels (serious pain to clean these) it was recommended to spray them with toilet duck cleaner (diluted i think) and that stuff was supposed to do a very good job, saying that i never tried it myself, did anyone knows about that stuff or tried it?

We have been having very good luck with Griot Garage's Wheel Cleaner. Haven't used the citrus stuff from Wurth to compare, maybe i will pick up a bottle next time he stops by the shop.

Hey PorscheDoc, the product you want is code # 0890 924. It's about $21 per 18 ounce bottle. You can make a 20% solution for a wheel cleaner. |
