Car underpowered for 5 miles

Hey folks - when I take my car out for a drive after it has been sitting in my driveway for a couple days seems to lack power for the first 5 miles or so. It seems to really bog down in power and then after a miles of driving it seems to come back to life. Anyone have an idea what is happening? Is it a problem? Common? Suggestions please and thank you. Dr.

My car's vital fluids aren't properly heated within 5 miles to make any assessments about power. Even with the water temp @ 180C my oil would barely be above 45C in 5 miles this time of year. When I hooked up the durametric, I was amazed at how long it took for my engine oil to get above 90C. Best not to heavily load the engine for the first 12 mins or so, more in the winter.

Thanks everyone, it sounds like this is a common thing and nothing to really worry about.

Possibly related, I would verify it is not using oil and/or AOS going bad
