clutch and top
 
how much is a clutch replacement around? and how much is it to get new plastic in the rear for my top?

I believe the local dealership charges 6 hours of labor. A brand new Sachs kit can be bought off eBay for $230 shipped I beleive for a 2.5L kit. I think it is a little bit more for a 2.7L and 3.2L,not too sure. I think the plastic window is $600 to replace, and around $1200 for a whole new top installed. I did some searching and came up with this, but I dont know the quality

The kit cost is going to depend on what you replace. With the Boxster, I'd recommend the full change (clutch disc, flex plate, release bearing, pilot bearing) minimum and also look at the flywheel since it is sometimes a source of vibration. If you don't do the full meal deal, it will end up costing you more when they have to pull the whole tranny to replace a $12 bearing. :eek:
