Used headlight

I Bought what appears to be a very nice used headlight on ebay, my drivers side is done. I do see some fine scratches on the surface, what is the best way to get them out and get a nice polish on it before I install it?

Meguiars Plast-X and a foam bonnet on your buffer ;)
