For folks who have painted their bumperettes what primer and finish paint did you use? Did you then apply clear coat? Did you first sand the bumperettes? My car is Arctic Silver. Thanks!

it is my opinion the bumper guards are just a way of using the same bumper cover from the European models, where the license plates are considerably longer than the obligatory 12 inches in the us.

Thanks to John "Woodie" Wood for the spare set of bumperettes! I am now going to paint mine and wanted to ask those who have done so what primer, paint and finish coat they used. Am hoping Krylon products will do. My car is Arctic Silver. Also did you lightly sand the bumperettes and/or use a solvent to remove any remaining wax before spraying on the primer? Thanks!
