Porsche Smell.
I do not know if it is something from the PO or what, but my car smells a specific way and it is a really really good smell (maybe just because of good memories) but for an old car. My car smells great, i wish i could explain the smell, it isnt a new car smell or a leather smell. Do other peoples boxsters have a specific smell, do you like it?

Yes, and you are right that it is a specific way, a very good way, even after sitting all winter and getting in this spring it is still the same. Everytime i sit down i get a smile instantly and just feel relaxed. The smell, exhaust note, shifting, just put everything in place.

I remember when I picked up my car for the first time, it had just been freshly detailed and it smelled so good. I don't know if it was the cleaning products or what but it had a certain smell. It is mostly gone now... But when I do spray wax it kind of brings back a similar smell.

Most of mine smell a little different, but all of mine were preowned. I think it is how the leather reacts to the user. I find that the cars that were owned by and heavily used tend to have damage to the leather by sweat or lotion worn by the user.

They use a very rich leather. That smell still fills mine on warm day when the car is in the sun.

My Porsche's smell like $30,000-$60,000 of depreciation from the PO's.

Mine has had that certain smell since I've owned it. It's relaxing. My Mercedes smells like old-school leather and horsehair.

Yeah, I don't think you guys are crazy. Mine has a certain smell. I bought it from a p-dealer years ago and it still smells the same as the day I got it. Hard to describe. I've had several Brit cars over the years. They certainly have their own smell too!
