Key Hole Needs Fixin

HI,
I have a 1999 Boxster. My door key hole on my drivers side just turns loosely left and right. It no longer opens the lock. I only have a key without the automatic door opener or car starter function. I have to lock it now from the passenger side which is a little inconveinet. The dealer told me over the phone that some bar probably was unhooked from the inside of the door.

Has anyone had the same problem. Can I fix this myself. Is it hard to take the door apart. And what is the bar called he is talking about and where does it hook onto.

If there are pictures or directions to take the door apart I would appreciate it.
thanks

Hi-

I just purchased the Porsche Boxster Service Manual from www
dotAmazondotcom. ($60 something dollars). There is a section for "Doors and Locks" with pic's.
