creak coming from front left suspension

Hi everyone i am new to the site and i have a 2004 Boxster 2.7 that i have owned for 5 years.

I have noticed over that past month or so that i get a creaking noise coming from the front left suspension. I don't get it when turning the wheel at all even when stationary, it is only when i drive along. It happens when going over both small bumps as well as things like speed bumps (its louder over things like speed bumps). It also only happens when it is dry, it doesn't happen when it is wet. It sounds a bit like an old creaky door with grit on the hinges!

could it be something like a dry/worn anti roll bar bush??

any ideas?

thanks

There are several threads related to this as it is common.
For me it is Right front lower control arm ball joint. I have to spray WD-40 in a couple time a year or after heavy wet driving.
I also get creaking noise with some turning as well as suspension travel

yeah i have had a look at a couple of the threads but was a little unsure as i don't get the noise with steering and its only in the dry, but having said that i might have a good look the weekend and check the ball joint and all the bushes. i might have a can of WD-40 at the ready!

many thanks for your response. :)
