Radio System with No Sound
I have a 04 Boxster (7000 miles) and have experienced several times that the radio system appears to be working, but there is no sound. I contacted the dealer who told me that sometimes the fibreoptic cabling to the unit could be wound to tight, and instructed me to lock the car with the remote, and unlock it again, and the problem should be fixed. It seemed to work, but what the heck is that all about? Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

New Problem
My windshield wipers didn't work today when I started the car. I checked the fuse and everything was fine. I then tinkered with the ignition switch, which seems loose, and turned it back a notch and the wipers began to work. Any ideas? Does the ignition need replaceing, or is this a normal thing?

Well, it's typical, but not normal. Sounds like your ignition switch is going out. Get it fixed asap so you're not stranded somewhere when it falls apart inside.
Cheap fix if your dealer will just replace the switch and not the whole assembly. The part is $16 bucks. |
