Correct AOS part #

Hi Folks,

(Thanks ahead ...i really need to get this clarified, as my order at pelican is pending the right part # that I order.)

Can someone help to confirm the part number for AOS is below? so I need to buy 2?

996-107-080-54-OEM @ $37
Air Oil Separator (Inside Oil Sump of Engine, 2 per car)

I also found another part at pelican which is much more expensive $137. I dont know what this part is - but is also Oil separator. Pelican quoted me this part instead of the one above.

996-107-023-04-M100

Which is the one that is a common failure that is mentioned all the time?
my car is a 2001 Boxster Base Tip.

Thanks!!!

AOS is the one that fails inside the engine compartment. Sitting in the middle by the MAF and not in the oil sump. Sure doesn't cost 37 bucks so 137.00 is closer. I can get you a pic.

It is the more expensive one like rp17 says; more details here:

I think that other $37 part goes in the oil sump pan but I'm not sure, I don't recall hearing a lot about that part.
