A bit like 2005-2008 M96/7 engines whereby getting to the $25 IMS bearing, splitting the engine cases is major surgery & cost you $10,000.......

Did Hitachi lease their technology from someone in Germany?

Maybe they should try a Direct Oil Feed type of solution to prevent it in the future?
