Do you remember your dreams?

Me, only for a few minutes after I wake up.

Couldn't recall one right now.

Can you manipulate your actions in dreams?

BIGJake111 02-23-2014 04:24 PM

I dreamt that I was one of my top five favorite guitarists - while running naked through the desert at the speed of light - with an indian chief who was carrying my IMS bearing under his loincloth.

Only if I hear this sound as I wake up: INCEPTION Button

I have a recurring nightmare of someone trying to murder me.

I had a friend who said that he repeatedly dreamt of killing someone.

I got a restraining order.

You are my hero.

And to stay on topic....yes...I remember some dreams and yes...some dreams I can control...sort of. Those are a lot of fun. Usually involve being chased by dinosaurs. Not joking.

I usually remember when I don't 420 for a couple days.... <:)

jb92563 02-24-2014 08:12 AM

Yes I remember some dreams, usually when the auto pilot is screaming (Pull UP) (Pull UP) (Collision Hazard)

I always save the day with a 6G pullup then shooting the terrorist and later a smiling Stewardess looking at me with a admiring gleam in her eye.

And then theres the one where I'm fighting a bear in the woods of Alaska.

I have better dreams than most movies these days, although a little bit tiring with all that action going on every night.

I karate chopped my GF one night, but I can't remember what that dream was about. (No her name is not Kato)
I got a serious scolding for that one but luckily no one was hurt.

My dreams were all shattered years ago.

Many people can't remember their dreams. Smoking pot reduces either dreaming itself or remembering.

As a psych major I read some books in the '70s and got much better at remembering - mostly by writing them down immediately on awakening. But it also helps to not move or turn over when you wake.

Most exciting are lucid dreams, where you are aware of dreaming while dreaming. Then you can exert some control. There are some books on lucid dreaming out now. I set myself some goals for dreaming and thought about them during the day and as I went to sleep. I wanted to dream: about my dead parents, have sex in a dream (always thought it was neurotic that I never got laid in dreams - too married I guess), get in a fight, and of course fly. Had real results within a week.

What I find interesting is that I've never had a dream about driving a car despite spending so many hours doing it.

jdlmodelt 02-24-2014 05:50 PM

Well, yes, I remember some dreams during sleep, but I also remember my dreams of the cars I wanted to own when I was a wee lad. Ford Model T's (x3 now) and a Porsche (x2). My car fantasies (dreams) have been fulfilled. :)
